“Twelve Minutes” was inspired by a devastating statistic from 2022: every twelve minutes, a woman was killed by a partner or family member. Rather than depict the violence itself, I chose to focus on the quiet moments that precede it—the overlooked tensions, the emotional weight, the unspoken fear. This film is a reflection on absence, on what’s lost in a moment that changes everything. It is both a remembrance and a call to awareness.
