Dr. Arian Nowbahari is an Italian film director, painter, and electronic engineer based in Oslo, Norway. He is the founder of New Spring Productions™ and currently works as an Application Engineer at Sony Semiconductor Solutions.

He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Micro- and NanoSystems from the University of South-Eastern Norway (2023), following B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin. His research focuses on low-power electronics, sensor interfaces, and imaging systems, and his work has been published in leading international journals. He has also served as a visiting researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (USA).

Alongside engineering, Arian maintains an active artistic practice. As a painter, he is represented by Saatchi Art and has exhibited internationally, including a solo exhibition at the Archaeological Museum of Olbia (2019), and group exhibitions in Italy and Norway. His work has been featured in the Aesthetica Artists’ Directory.

As a film director, he has led award-winning productions across Europe and the United States. His films have received 24+ awards and 18 official selections at international festivals, screening across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
